Training Log 2/15/2026-2/21/2026

Another week of easy running as I work on healing my leg. The weather was tough, with the most snow we’ve had this season, but I enjoy the challenge of running in snow. It also makes me slow down on the rocky terrain. I’ll be out of town from Friday to Sunday, so I’ll need to find creative ways to fit in a few miles.

Running on snowy, rocky terrain isn't for everyone, but it's one of my favorite activities. It feels especially peaceful on familiar trails, and it forces me to slow down and focus, knowing there are rocks hidden beneath the snow. Many wonder why anyone would enjoy or endure this, but surprisingly, it's not as difficult as it appears. My familiar trails seem new again, providing a brief sense of novelty and increasing the challenge. This activity helps build resilience, reminding me that when things go wrong, I've faced similar situations before and shouldn't worry because it's just not going my way.
Build up that callus to withstand tougher times.
Sorry for the brief post this week; I just wasn’t really feeling up to it.
