Training Log 4/12/2026-4/18/2026

Day late and a dollar short. Busy weekend with life things, so posting this on Monday after a longish run. The problem with the right foot is improving, and overall I took it easy this week, but I am going to start ramping up again, fingers crossed. Did my last super-heavy-weight leg day at the gym yesterday, with my first race in less than a month away. Hoping to start turning up the volume again if the feet can hold up.

This week, something at work has been on my mind since it happened. I've been bothered by people’s actions, which I see as driven by greed. I was asked a simple question about someone, and my honest answer was used against them in a way that caused harm, seemingly for financial gain. Even though the person who asked still got what they wanted, they continue to pursue discrediting someone who had no stake and deserved nothing. As a result, the friendship has suffered over money issues. This is difficult for me to understand because I am not greedy—I believe in living within my means. If I help someone financially and get burned, I see it as a lesson learned. If I know someone who wins the lottery, I wouldn’t ask them for money or hold it against them.
Watch out for greed; it can damage your reputation and core values over time.
